The Born(man) Deception

Like Jason Bourne we too have a master of tricks in our community. One Lehan Bornman.

Trick #1: Three weeks ago its discovered on the dz that Lee had passed the 100 jump mark, and defied tradition. In true Born(man) style, he talked his way out saying he didn't want to count his jumps from 10 years ago. BS - but we let it slide.

Trick #2: This past weekend, we think he's got to be there by now, a quick inspection of his logbook reveals nothing... Born(man) doesn't leave a paper trail. Fortunately, the pro track does not lie - jump count 113. Yes Born(man), has joined those other [insert your feline term of choice here]'s who have defied tradition in the most vile method possible... denial of jump numbers!

Trick #3: Realising he's caught, an agitated Born(man), confesses to his crime (with no remorse for his blatant defiance of tradition), avoids any further talk on the matter, and threatens reprecussions... hahahaha

How many beers is this worth???

Pic below: An unremorseful Born(man)

Bloody Agent!

"Hanging" out at the dropzone

Sometimes you just cant plan shit this good. On Monday I went to Delta, along with my new camera to hopefully get some cool pics. Lee and Louis went out to do a two way so I thought I'd get some pics of the two of them coming in to land. Not having their pro ratings, I walked out to the centre of the landing area (where one would normally land). Granted the wind had picked up, but nothing worse than they'd flown in before. It took a real effort on their sides to fly a fantastically long down wind leg, and then turn too late for final. Well there goes the close up pics, these guys were going to end up in the pro rated / tandem landing area at best....

And then that priceless moment came, Louis in the trees. Nothing better than f*cking up when your choms are around, happily clicking away. He did an epic job wrapping that canopy around the tree.

And with this display of awesomeness we now have a fines board at the dropzone. The board will be for f*ck ups and firsts. Lee, Louis, and Jason were the first victims for the following "achievements"

Lee - fined for landing in the pro rating area

Luise - I think its pretty obvious why he bought beer

Jason - first time eating vegies

Stay safe
RM

Wheeling and Dealing

First piece of good news that both the Sorz and Mini Flex Z goggles are on their way, shipped last week so should be here in the next week or two.

Argus AAD's now on offer. Again, price is cheaper than retail (well normal retail anyway), the guy I'm partnering with on this is seriously wants more skydivers to jump with AAD's, so we're trying to make it more affordable. Still a fairly significant investment, but hey, its its your life we're talking about here.

I'm daily trying to add more products to the current offering - hopefully GoPro, Hypoxic, and a few more companies respond favourably. Watch this space!

I forgot to mention this in the last post, Skydive Robertson had their annual Robertson Rumble - a two FS competition. Nice to see the freefliers kicking ass ;-) . Not to take anything away from the belly fliers, belly flying is fun... if its all you can do... ;-D Well done to team "Another F*cking Freeflier" for coming first. Spare a thought for team "Tribute To Paki" - if only their skills were as good as their intentions... haha. Congrats also to Forrest and his housemate the Ginger Ninja on their first reserve rides... lets hope they both keep to tradition - beer please!

And lastly, nice to see the jumpers from both the Cape Town dz's jumping at both DZ's. Below is a pic of Skydive Robertson DZO Ian van Riel, just after his jump with the Ginger Ninja at Skydive Cape Town last weekend.
